Paypal
When online business really began to pickup, several years ago, businesses were constantly in search of a trusted way to get paid. It was becoming tougher to trust having a customer mail them a check and they did not have the luxury of taking credit card information over a cell phone. Today’s technology, such as using a cell phone as a card swiper, would have made this process extremely easy, but that did not exist during that era. Instead, they had to come up with the best thing they could, which still exists today, and this is known as paypal.
PayPal was one of the best inventions ever, as it allowed people to send and receive money instantaneously. Essentially, the way it works is the users connect their paypal account to their bank account. Once the connection is made, they can easily withdraw money from their bank account to send to a business. Businesses can, in turn, withdraw this money and have it in their bank account, typically in three days or less. This was especially incredible at the time, as it could take several days to even receive a check from a customer.
However, paypal has many features aside from just money aspects. The program allows sellers to create invoices to send to customers. It can be extremely tedious for businesses to have to create their own invoice sheets, so this is a major convenience. PayPal also tracks invoices, which accomplishes several tasks. First of all, it allows businesses to know if the customer has paid or not. It will also allow the business to track their yearly sales, which will allow them to compare to other years.
PayPal was a creative invention at the time of its release, 1998, and it continues to grow today. It will be tough for another website to replace paypal. People will find that it is extremely easy to pay for goods, as well as receiving money on this site.
